Advantages – The new Code has many advantages over other Management Systems Standards, including the following:

Specific to the Construction industry -Concentrated Construction service industry focus - Code focusses only on construction industry and its processes (as distinct to ISO applicable to all types of businesses products and services).

Reflects current World ‘best practice’ management systems concepts, whilst at the same time integrating modern (ISO) thinking.

Main focussed on key services delivery/operational aspects rather than organisational aspects.

Seamlessly integrates Safety, Environmental and Quality aspects – No repetition of element aspects as seen previously.

Requires annual audit to all elements and completion of site audit checklist of specific aspects – much tighter than typical ISO audits.

CCF Civil Construction Management Code Undergoes Update

In lockstep with recent changes to the Quality and Environmental ISO Standards (2015 amendments) and in response to feedback from industry stakeholders, a major review and upgrade of the CCF Code was implemented – with the new version of the Code becoming a single source for specifying the combined ‘best practice’ principles of the relevant legislation and standards, and corresponding management system requirements.
